Fiscal year 2025 has been a busy one! With the approval of our kidney transplant program, the launch of enhanced security measures, the opening of the expanded Emergency Department at CRMH, expanded research opportunities and preparations for Nexus go-live, there is a lot of amazing work happening around our system!

These are just some of our accomplishments. Other notable work is also taking place now and expected soon—and it's only June!

The Countdown is On to the Full Opening of CRMH's Crystal Spring Tower

On Tuesday, June 17, we held a ribbon cutting for the Crystal Spring Tower at CRMH, celebrating the construction and preparation coming to a close, prior to fully opening.

The 12-story, more-than-500,000-square-foot facility houses our expanded Emergency Department—the region’s only Level 1 trauma center for both adults and childre—and our renowned Cardiovascular Institute.

We’re Growing! Carilion Children’s Expands in Rocky Mount

We are enhancing the level of care we offer our youngest patients in Rocky Mount and its surrounding communities.

Starting Monday, July 28 Carilion Children’s Pediatric Medicine – Rocky Mount will see patients at our new location in the CFMH Medical Office Building, 3rd Floor, Suite 314. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new space—which was intentionally designed to meet pediatric patient needs—was held Thursday, July 24.
