Epic has taken steps to ensure health care organizations can still access a “view only” copy of their production environments during technology disruptions. This is called Epic Hosting Read Only (HRO).
The Carilion Administrative Services Building (CASB) in downtown Roanoke is undergoing some renovations to its exterior.
Over the next six months, workers will apply a special film to the building's exterior glass surfaces. The film is designed to strengthen the glass and improve the 50-year-old building's efficiency and integrity. The scaffolding will remain while the work is happening, but workers will remove it once the project is complete.

This year, we have 29 new trainees joining us who graduated from Virginia schools, including five graduates of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. It is our hope that upon graduation, these residents will continue to improve the health of our communities by staying in the Commonwealth.
