Submitted by ptprice on

These ladies are spending their lunch time each Tuesday traveling around to various hospital departments asking questions and giving out "Nerds" to those staff that answer Joint Commission questions.  They have amazing dedication to our team members and are doing their best to ensure everyone is ready for Joint Commission when they visit.  Pictured L to R; Katrina Burda, Kris Patel, Heather Sadler, Melanie David

Tooth Fairy to the Rescue!

Submitted by emayles on

Imagine waking up and realizing your teeth are no longer in your mouth. That is what happened to our patient on 6S, unfortunately. Patient's partial was removed and then went into the lost world of Carilion. The patient made Brandon, PACU RN aware of the situation. Thank goodness for Brandon Bushnell, RN and the saving grace of Lisa Kaye, RN they went to the rescue. Upon digging and digging in numerous dirty linen bags in the Cath Lab, Lisa Kaye earned her tooth fairy wings and found the missing teeth.
