After a head-on car collision left Nikki with critical injuries, she was taken to CRMH, where she spent more than a month wondering if she’d ever walk again.

After 11 years as chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, John Burton , M.D., has decided to transition out of the chair role and into a role as a practicing ED physician as well as medical director of Risk Management and Claims.

Recently, we have received reports of scammers claiming to be from the Virginia Board of Nursing contacting our employees.

In one instance, an employee received a fax with a fake "suspension of license" letter. In another, the employee received a call saying that "fraudulent activity was found on your nurse practitioner license." The scammer asked for personal bank account information; when the employee refused, the caller said the employee would be arrested.

A new feature in MyChart will offer convenience to our patients and help make processes easier for our staff.

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 15, we’ll be expanding our online services to allow patients to schedule mammograms directly through MyChart.
