"Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person"

Danny Willis may work in CTCH Maintenance department, changing light bulbs, fixing equipment, moving furniture, mowing grass, etc.; but Danny can also be seen lending a helping hand to anyone who needs it.  I caught him in action the other day helping a patient through our hallways from one department to another.  This is only ONE of the many ways Danny can be seen lending a hand.  Thank you Danny for extending a helping hand when it is needed.

I would like to personally Thank 8 South Radius for their care and compassion during a very trying and sad time caring for my uncle (more like father, "Papa Steve"). Our family was beyond pleased with the care Papa Steve received, and if he could have spoken he would have done the same. This was a very tough time, from the beginning with no visitation to our loved one. But between the detailed reports from the providers, to the compassion the nurses & Aids provided, to the patience of our mounds of calls & questions EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE treated my aunt "Shelby" like family!

My husband is getting a knee surgery on the coldest, snowiest day of the year. We arrived cold and anxious and just glad that we made it on the slick roads. Robin greeted my husband with a sense of humor that made him fee comfortable. She brought me a coke and graham cracked while I waited and just seemed so eager to help. All the hospital staff and doctor have been wonderful. Thanks Robin & Good Luck. You are in the right career.  

While scrolling Facebook the first line of a post caught my eye, "So I have to brag on a sweet lady in the CNRVMC gift shop." This friend did not take her wallet with her because she was supposed to just be picking a loved one up who was being discharged. Because she had her school aged daughter was with her, she could not go to the patient's room. She decided to go look around in the gift shop to waste some time. Her daughter asked for a snack. My friend quietly whispered, "I did not bring my wallet in.

Franklin Heights Church members gathered to show support for their brother on Sunday. Wishing him health and healing! It’s wonderful to see this kind of love in our community.

The Rockbridge Community Hospital Dining and Nutrition Staff Shared the Love on Valentines Day. Staff members Decorated patient trays in letting them know they care about them and try to put a smile on there face. Tray decorations have become a thing at Rockbridge. Each holiday and birthday patients are treated with a colorful tray and even a signed birthday card from the staff.

For the first community outreach project of 2022 the staff of Mother/Baby collected food for Kids Soar, a local food bank. Kids Soar is a faith-based organization located in the Roanoke Valley. Their mission is to empower children and families to end the cycle of poverty in their families through literacy education. The children involved in their after-school literacy program receive a meal each evening for dinner.

Congratulation to Casey Delph, RN with the Birthplace! She was nominated by two patients she cared for and selected to receive the Daisy Award.

Just a heart felt thank you to our CTL at CFM Daleville, Katy Duncan. When I was sick she went above and beyond as a team leader and dropped off groceries and medicine. Katy shows that caring and leading the team doesn't stop when we leave the building. You are awesome! Thanks so much for all you do.
