12 South Mother/Baby Soaring for Kids Soar!

For the first community outreach project of 2022 the staff of Mother/Baby collected food for Kids Soar, a local food bank. Kids Soar is a faith-based organization located in the Roanoke Valley. Their mission is to empower children and families to end the cycle of poverty in their families through literacy education. The children involved in their after-school literacy program receive a meal each evening for dinner. To make sure that children and families are not without food, Kids Soar has begun acting as a food distribution center during the pandemic, as there are so many children and families who are without food resources. Not only was Mother/Baby able to collect multiple boxes of food, they were also able to make a small monetary donation as well!
