| Ashleigh is always thinking of her patients and meeting their needs and "wants". Ashleigh had a patient that wanted a 3 Musketeers Bar and another that wanted a Mt Dew. Dietary had already closed so she went to the vending machine and purchased these for her "special" patients (But that's what she says about all of her patients). She is an awesome nurse, who keeps a positive attitude no matter what is going on. She is supportive to not only her patients but her co-workers too! |
The Rocky Mount Rotary Club, of which I am a member, has placed several "newspaper boxes" throughout the county and have turned those boxes into "food pantry boxes". The idea is to keep these boxes filled with food and hygiene items so that anyone in need can get what they want anytime, for free.

As Carilion Police Officer David McMillan was heading home at the end of his shift on March 21st 2022, he observed a pickup truck driving erratically on 9th street. As he was calling 911 for assistance, the truck wrecked into a street sign and came to a stop. Officer McMillan discovered that the driver was not breathing and no pulse was found. Officer McMillan was in the process of removing the driver from the truck when Roanoke Co. Police Officer Foster arrived to assist. Officer McMillan started CPR on the driver as Roanoke Co.
We had a patient come into Our Cardiology Office recently. He was having active Chest Pain. Dr. Molly Rutherford was the Doctor who He had a appointment with. She after seeing him told Him he had to go to the Emergency room with active chest pain. He stated he could not that his little dog was out in the car and, he had to take it back home because he no one to look after it. She came right back and, said well your going and, we will take care of the dog . Well She sure did. The patient was admitted to the hospital at least 3 days later He was discharge.
The CNRV Pharmacy selected Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread for its first community service project of 2022. Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread is a local non-profit organization that provides lunches Mondays-Fridays at no cost for people in need. No questions asked, no forms to fill out! They also deliver meals on wheels to the homebound in the City of Radford and the Fairlawn community.
Dr Greer came from Daleville to help the CRBH ED staff deliver a high risk laboring patient. There was no time to transfer the patient so Dr Greer drove down to CRBH to deliver the patient. Kyleigh Arehart also came down from the OR to assist the ED nursing staff with her years of labor and delivery experience.
I had a patient that knew that I worked with one of my co-workers Melissa Fisher, she said that she was so polite and helped her so much with info and making her apt. She said that she has a great personality and is very passionate about her job and her patients. She said that she feels at home when she calls or has to come in for appointments.
