Going above and beyond

Denise Arrington of Labor and Delivery noticed a  personal wheelchair that had been sitting outside of our unit for several weeks.  She found a patient sticker on the wheel chair and determined that it belonged to an elderly lady.   She had been missing her wheelchair for several weeks and was very grateful that she had located it.  The patient did not live near the hospital and it was going to be several days before her family could make the trip to the hospital to pick up the wheelchair.  Our unit secretary Kadie Droke, volunteered to deliver the wheelchair t

COMPASSIONATE HAA WITH PATIENTS

Carnie Smith is very compassionate with our patients.  When she calls patients to make an appointment she goes the extra mile, when patients needs additional help for the doctors.

She has called the PCP office when necessary and help patients make additional appointments.  She is very caring, kind, and patient when dealing with patients over the phone.  She goes above and beyond

the call of duty to assist patients when needed. Carnie makes our co-workers days brighter and she always has a smile on her face.

Awesome Nurses in the Daleville Location

Submitted by smtoliver on

I would like to give a WOW to the Nurses from OB/GYN and FAMILY PRACTICE  at the Daleville location  for coming  together to help a patient in distress without hesitation.  The patient was seen by OB/GYN  and the nurses from the family practice came over to assist immediately .  What compassion and teamwork that was done in time of need .

Great Job!!!

Birthday Blessings Bucket

Every year that we are able to celebrate a birthday is a gift.  Sometimes when we hit those "milestone" birthdays, some may become more reflective on their life and choose to celebrate BIG.  But imagine being in the hospital, not feeling well, and in isolation, with no family around you to help you celebrate your "milestone" birthday of 50 years!

Submitted by dllittle on

As a recent patient at CRMH on the 6 South OP floor and the cardiac electrophysiology (EP) lab, I would like to say that everyone I had contact with provided excellent care and was very kind and professional. Especially want to thank the entire staff in the EP Lab for the thorough explanation of the entire procedure and made me feel very comfortable with the procedure.  Also, how well I was cared for pre and post procedure on 6 South!  Y'all are a blessing and an awesome team!

Above and Beyond

This morning while walking into work - I see Dr. Nardecchia talking to an older couple. The couple was lost and needing to find 'imaging'. Instead of simply giving them directions, Dr. Nardecchia walked these two people across the street and into the Lobby so that they knew exactly where to go. It was above and beyond and showed great Commitment and Compassion to patient care :)
