I wanted to give a shout out to Tasha States at CCHC. Thanks for going the extra mile to make sure one of our patients would have a quick start of care so she wouldn't have to stay in the hospital. We really appreciate the care you show our patients!

Three nurses honored at Rocky Mount Pearl Harbor Veterans Honor Ceremony

Submitted by ctcline on

On Thursday, December 7th, a Pearl Harbor Veterans Ceremony was held at the Rocky Mount Veterans Park. This honorable ceremony was conducted by the local VFW post in which three military nurses were  honored for their service during this time at Pearl Harbor. This nursing honor was represented by many veterans and members of our own staff here at CFMH. Let us never forget our Pearl Harbor Veterans, our Veterans and our Nurses who served our Great Country.

“I had attended another hospital the day before coming to Tazewell Community. I was told to go to the other hospital by Med Express! I got worse so my husband and I decided to go to Tazewell Community. There was no comparison between the two hospitals! Tazewell Community was so clean and the woman that took my information was so caring and when I was seen by the nurses and doctor it was unbelievable. I have been to several hospitals within my lifetime and will continue to go to Tazewell Community Hospital!

As Lights of Love celebrates its eleventh year, Volunteer Services is grateful for the generosity of our employees in supporting this very worthwhile program. As you admire the tree in the CRMH West Atrium, the compassion of Guest Services Lead Patricia "Trish" Vassar is apparent. She dedicates her time to hand-painting each and every ornament, knowing the importance of honoring the person behind the name.
