Our Mental Health Teams in Roanoke and the NRV have been busy helping our patients and staff remember how special and loved they are.  The First Annual Candy Cane Parade throughout the Rehab Building in Roanoke brought cheer to participants and patients/visitors throughout the building.  Our team of Minions in the NRV shared joy throughout the units at CNRVMC bringing a collective smile to all who were touched by their kindness.

I had recently went through Pulmonary Rehab and I just wanted to give a shout out to all of the workers in this department.  All of you showed so much compassion and the collaboration that went into each class was awesome. Very informative, helpful and kind to each person in the class, paying close attention to each person and their capabilities. Many thanks to all of you!!!!

Trish Akers has been doing double time in the ED... She has been making the floors look amazing. Thanks for all you do Trish your AMAZING!!!!

I want to thank all of our team members who were involved with taking care of me. I had an LP and my body just didn't react to it well, and landed me in the er days later. Dr. Shergar did my procedure and got me back up and running with a blood patch. Thank you to Brad, Madi, Paige, Jeffrey, and Bailey for being there to help me through this hard time. Also, a thank you to Baby Jess, Dr. Mattheny, and Aaron for doing my LP and taking good care of me as well. The LP procedure was not painful, thanks to Mattheny. Thank you so much again everyone. 

The parents of a young child shared with us their gratitude for Jerry Moses helping them with their child that did not want to come in for their needed medical attention.Jerry witnessed the parent and child and approached them on the golf cart and was able to start a conversation with the child. Jerry asked if he would like a ride and got the child excited about the opportunity to ride the golf cart. Jerry was able to turn a potentially negative experience into a very positive experience.The parents were very grateful and so are we.Thank you Jerry for all that you do!

The CTCH team caroled for patients, families and staff spreading holiday cheer throughout the facility.  The caroling was beautiful and appreciated by all.   Thank you to everyone that participated and a special thanks to Katie Paitsel, ED Unit Manager for organizing the event.

A comprehensive rehabilitation approach is vital to stroke recovery. The National Institute of Neurologist Disorders reports strokes as the number one cause of serious adult disability in the US and the world.
