I want to give a huge shoutout to Paul Mason. He’s always ready to jump in without being asked, keeping our projects on track and ensuring everything moves smoothly. His monthly 1:1s show his commitment to each team member, building a foundation of trust and creating a safe space for everyone to talk.

His dedication doesn't stop at the end of the workday—he's always available to share his knowledge and offer his time, even after hours. We’re lucky to have such as amazing leader. I could not do my job without him. He is truly an asset to Carilion and Health Analytics.

"No one should die alone...each human should die with the sight of a loving face," this quote by Mother Teresa greeted prospective volunteers at yesterday's training and information session for Carilion Clinic's No One Dies Alone (NODA) Volunteer Program. Coordinated through Volunteer Services, NODA trains volunteers to be compassionate companions to those in their final hours who would otherwise die alone.

National Trauma Survivors Day - May 15th, 2024

Submitted by ocwalker on

May 15th, 2024, was National Trauma Survivors Day -- this is a day where we take time to celebrate the recovery and victories we see in our patients, thank our staff for the amazing care they give, and acknowledge the losses experienced by families and friends. At CRMH, trauma team staff participated in a healing well activity lead by chaplaincy services to help unburden themselves of the negative emotions that are carried around from witnessing the injuries cared for on a daily basis.
