The CRCH TSG office has an inconspicuous area that has a sink, etc. on the 2nd floor.  We had been out of paper towels in the dispenser for some time, but as I said I don't think EVS was aware.  I walked over to the EVS office and mentioned it to the staff there.  Daryl immediately went on a mission and handled the situation!  His efforts are greatly appreciated by us at CRCH TSG!!!  Daryl is a friendly and courteous man as well.

Carilion Police Officers graduated from the Cardinal Criminal Justice Academy on June 10, 2026, after successfully completing the 23-week Basic Law Enforcement Academy. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to public service have prepared them to begin their careers serving and protecting our healthcare system.

Congratulations to Brandlene Ratcliffe AGACNP-BC for receiving the Inaugural Oncology Impact Award from Carilion Clinic Cancer Care. Selected based on nominations from her colleagues, Brandlene was recognized for her leadership, initiative, and commitment to improving oncology care, including her work to develop clinical pathways and strengthen referral processes for urology patients. Her postive energy, thoughtful approach, and dedication to others truly reflect the spirit of this award.  Congratulations, Brandlene!

Congratulations to Caitlin Oakes who was selected as CNRV’s 2026 Nurse Rookie of the Year!! Caitlin, who had multiple nominations, started as a phlebotomist at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, later transitioned to a CNA role at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, and obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing license this past year.
