Taking Care of Special Dietary Needs

Submitted by kapodruchney on

Sheri Dale- Main PACU Team Lead- embraced the Carilion values when she became a true advocate for a patient holding in PACU. The patient needed a meal and it was late in the evening not a problem usually ,however this patient had to have a gluten free meal. Sheri went to the cafeteria to get an after hour meal box for the patient and their was no available ones to meet the dietary needs of the patient, so she bought them a salad, that she verified was gluten free with her own money.

An outside sender had been having difficulty sending emails to me for over a week-and-a-half; this was despite the fact the sender was able to respond to emails I sent to them. The sender shared an undeliverable message with me for the first time yesterday. I forwarded an attachment this morning with my service request so TSG could take a look at it.
