Sam Blum Turns Information into Knowledge with Health Analytics

When Carilion Clinic Family and Community Medicine needed to improve the quality and effectiveness of their physician scorecards, they turned to Sam Blum.  He worked with colleagues from FCM and Finance to determine the needs and desires of their target audience and create the best tools to communicate this information.  The resulting Power BI dashboard brings to life key information on patient safety, quality of care, and financial performance.  This interactive dashboard allows physician leaders to quickly identify trends and changes, while also exploring the details of this information to turn it into actionable knowledge.  Thanks to Sam and the work of Health Analytics, FCM is better able to direct department efforts to improve the quality of patient care and ultimately to make a greater lasting impact on the health or our community.
