Thanks to the Emergency Department

This Wow is for the entire ED staff who were working this past Saturday, every physician, nurse, tech, receptionist, transporter.... I hope I didn't miss anyone.  My husband was a patient in the ED Saturday from about 10:30  am until around 9:00 pm, when he was admitted for an emergency appendectomy.  Under unbelievable circumstances with patients continuing to pour in, no available beds, waiting rooms full, every single staff member showed caring and compassion, professionalism, and dedication to taking care of each and every patient.

Kari Decker the Adjunctive Therapy Manager of the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit is always looking for ways for her team to improve the services her team offers! Kari researched and found studies to help her develop an adjunctive therapy discharge plan form. This form is given to the patients at the beginning of their stay to help them begin to identify and connect with coping skills and strategies that they can use at any time- especially after discharge. The form provides numerous areas for patients to identify resources to help them feel happier, stronger, healthier, and better connected.
