Congratulations Kay Strickland on Receiving the Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award

The Association of Fundraising Professionals First Virginia Chapter and the Community Foundation Serving Western Virginia have named Kay Strickland this year’s National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award honoree!

Kay Strickland is is the Chief Development Officer for Carilion Clinic and the Carilion Clinic Foundation. Since joining Carilion 11 years ago, her focus has been to establish a philanthropic program for the Clinic.

National Philanthropy Day, annually celebrated on November 15, recognizes the achievements that charitable organizations, fundraising executives, and volunteers have made to enrich our world. NPD was originally conceived of and organized by Douglas Freeman in the 1980s, and the first official events were held in 1986 after President Reagan signed the official NPD proclamation.
