Acute Therapy at CRMH makes me Carilion Proud everyday! I have the pleasure of working with amazing therapists from Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy daily. These folks along with our great Rehab Aides work hard to meet the needs of our patients here at CRMH. Compassion and commitment to care are themes they exemplify through their work regularly and it is an honor to work with all of them.

Just wanted to say that CRC and PARC make me Carilion Proud! These ladies go the extra mile daily to support Social Work and Case Management. Carilion is lucky to have these departments!

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of CRMH's designation as a Level 1 Trauma Center! 

The adage that "It takes a village" couldn't be truer in our pursuit of providing excellent trauma care to our community.  Nearly every department, service line, and staff member has cared for a trauma patient during their journey of recovery at one time or another.

Tonya Beach is always there behind the scenes, in our Ortho Medical Coding group, seeing what needs to be done to help our team run smoothly and supports our team lead.  She always steps forward and says, "I'll do it".  She recently agreed to become the AAPC Medical Coders of Roanoke Treasurer, when suddenly that position needed to be filled, and became involved with the Medical Coders recent 'May Mania' seminar this past week to help it run smoothly.  She does a multitude of behind the scene task everyday that I want her to know that everyone might not notice, but I sure do!

Happy Hand Hygiene Day! Paddy the Frog and her friends at Infection Control brought hand sanitizers and lotions to the frontline staff to show their appreciation and to celebrate Hand Hygiene Day!!! Don't forget to wash your hands!:)

Franklin the Frog went hopping around CFMH today to spread the 'news' (not germs) about Friction Rubs Out Germs to celebrate World Hand Hygiene Day. Franklin and his friends distributed hand sanitizer and lotion to staff throughout the campus and shared the message with patients and visitors along the way.

On World Hand Hygiene Day, the Guest Services team at CFMH took an innovative approach to promoting hand hygiene. Dressed as colorful and friendly frogs, the team members roamed throughout the guests areas showcasing the importance of "F.R.O.G", friction rubs off germs. They gave out hand sanitizer and informed patients on the importance of hand hygiene. The frog costumes were popular, and visitors loved taking photos with the playful creatures as they soaked in the cleanliness message.

Special recognition for the midwives on the Birthplace at CNRV.   The care they provide the women of our community is outstanding and we take this time out to say thanks for all you do for our unit and patients.    The Birthplace staff salute you!    Holly Borkert, CNM; Brynn Austin, CNM and Lisa Ross, CNM.   

I would like to give a wow to Angela in payroll, she keeps up with our time, keeps us all straight, and reminds us when we don't do things right.  Because she is behind the scenes, I don't think she gets the credit she deserves!
