Family in a time of Grief

Submitted by pasmith1 on

Recently my wonderful husband passed away suddenly. While I appreciate the thoughts, the real thing that has saved me is my work family. I don't have relatives close and, with our son off at college, it was just me and Johnny. I was so devastated, there were days when I couldn't even get out of bed. I stopped eating and sleeping and if it weren't for the people I work with, I doubt I'd have made it this far. I work in IR and these friends all rallied around me to help in any way they could. They listen to me rant and hold me when I cry. They brought me food and made me get out of bed.

Outstanding Preceptor Award!

Angela L Hardy has exceptional talent as a preceptor! Her role as a unit secretary/clerk for 10 West is inspiring!  She has a wealth of knowledge of how to run and operate our unit, and best of all, she is able to share her understanding and knowledge in order to help all of those around her.  As a new hire, I often looked to her hoping to achieve her level of excellence!  I am so thankful she trained me!  Angela Hardy was compassionate in her teaching, allowing me to learn from my mistakes, and always ready to answer my many questions!

Commitment and Honesty

Sarah Groner (RN-ED) located $100 in the hallway of the Emergency Department. She brought it to our office and we were able to see the money fall from another employees pocket. We located the employee and returned her money. Sarah should be commended on her honesty and her commitment to doing the right thing. Police and Security would like to thank you.
