Congratulations to Amanda Smith for obtaining her Certification as a Community Health Worker. We are so lucky to have Amanda here at CFMH. 

I just wanted to give some praise to one of our team leads, all our team leads are fantastic by the way, but I work with Jessi Bushnell every day, as  referral coordinator for the dental clinics.  

Jessi, is always supportive, she always moves mountains to help you if you need it. I've never seen her be anything but supportive, and committed to doing the best job she can and helping everyone else do the same. She inspires you when you are a bit frazzled to charge back into the game.  She shows great compassion for all of our patients too.  

Kristie was nominated for a great catch by her co-workers for her quick response regarding a patient medication. "Kristie is always thinking and she always acts in a best interest of the patient and the hospital. She is an amazing co-worker." Thank you, Kristie for your commitment!

A big congratulations to the CCU team in receiving their redesignation for the Silver Level Beacon Award of Excellence through the AACN! This is a huge accomplishment and I am so proud of this team and all their hard work and commitment to patient care! This makes CCU's 4th successful achievement for this nationally recognized award. Bronze for 2011-2014, Silver for 2016-2019, Silver for 2020-2023, and now Silver for 2023-2026.

I just wanted to take the time to recognize the entire team at Carilion Family Medicine South Main Lexington! I take care of the billing trailers from Quest for three clinics. South Main is the only clinic that hasn't had any Quest billing issues for 3 months running! I am super proud of the work they are putting in to make sure their patient care is top notch! 

Cindy Holbrook, RN at CTCH received the Great Catch Award for identifying a duplicate medication order.  We appreciate Cindy's commitment to patient safety and quality care!

10 Mountain PCU is proud to celebrate successfully remaining CLABSI free for the past year! This is a huge accomplishment for the team. We are very grateful for the assistance of Laura Kate Jennings-Brink and the IP team as well as our EVS partners in helping us with this accomplishment. 

Congratulations to our orthopaedic joint replacement team on their recent recognition as a top hospital for hip and knee replacement surgery!

I want to thank Jackie Glasper for all his hard work here at CFMH. Most of all I would like to thank him not only for his hard work but for his honesty. Friday June 16th this young man called me at home to ask who should he turn some money into that he had found while working. He expressed how he hopes the owner is found and it be returned to them. This is what makes me proud of my EVS team. Thank you!!!

THIS IS A SHOUT OUT TO BONNIE GUSLER FOR HER COMMITMENT AND EFFICIENCY ON 6/19/2023. A TRAUMA PATIENT ARRIVED IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM BADLY INJURED, BONNIE WAS QUICK TO GRAB HER CART AND START MOPING THE ENTIRE EMERGENCY ROOM AND INTO THE LOBBY AS WELL. SHE TOOK INITIATIVE AND QUICKLY JUMPED TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE. WE HAD SEVERAL PATIENTS SAY HOW FAST SHE WAS TO CLEAN THE FLOOR AND MOP UP ALL AREAS WITH BLOOD IN SIGHT. SHE IS ALWAYS SO SWEET AND VERY QUICK AT RESPONDING IF CALLED UPON FOR ANYTHING. SHE IS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING WOMEN IVE PERSONALLY EVER MET!!
