Our Morningside Urban Farm offers a variety of free programs, classes, and events for the community throughout the summer. Located in Southeast Roanoke, the farm serves as an educational space where participants can learn about gardening, nutrition and wellness while spending time outdoors.

Recently, we have received reports of fake job postings appearing on public job boards. In some cases, scammers have also contacted applicants directly, using the names of real Carilion employees to appear legitimate. 

While these scams may be easier to spot for those familiar with Carilion or our hiring practices, it is important to stay aware and share this information with friends or family members who may be exploring job opportunities.

Lori’s Story

I’ve worked in healthcare for many years—as a CNA, an EMT, and an RN. I’ve worked the floors, the calls, the chaos, and the heartbreak.

But my understanding of care changed forever in 2009.

My daughter Lexie fought a devastating battle with H1N1. After 27 days in the PICU, my beautiful Lexie passed away at just 15 years old.

When the room emptied and the noise faded, I was alone with her. The weight of that moment was crushing. I truly felt like my own life might end too. But I didn’t. I stayed.

Every day, this project moves closer to bringing expanded, patient‑centered cancer care to our region. The new center will offer more than 250,000 square feet of thoughtfully designed space, including state‑of‑the‑art treatment areas, advanced radiation oncology technology, and expanded infusion services—all under one roof.

Update About Our Accreditation Processes

We’re excited to share that we are transitioning our hospital accreditation program from The Joint Commission to DNV Healthcare and our Home Health and Hospice accreditation to Community Health Accreditation Partners (CHAP).

These changes reflect our continued commitment to quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement.

Inside Carilion Log-in Process Changing Wednesday, Sept. 2

Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2, you'll see a new log-in screen for Inside Carilion and will log in through your Carilion Microsoft account. You'll use your Carilion email address and the same password you use for other Carilion apps such as email or Epic.

If you aren't on the Carilion network, you will need to verify your identity through Imprivata, like you already do when accessing other Carilion apps outside of work.
