VIDEO: Carilion Taubman Cancer Center Reaching New Heights
If you've been on the Roanoke campus lately, you've noticed the Carilion Taubman Cancer Center as the tallest building in the Riverside complex now. Take a look at the recent time-lapse video showcasing the remarkable progress of construction from March through July 2026. The footage highlights the rapid evolution of the site with a major construction milestone reached this month. The final beam was hoisted to the top of the facility, marking the topping out of the building. Some of our oncology patients, staff and providers had an opportunity to sign the beam symbolizing the lives touched by cancer and the hope that will define this future center of care.
As construction continues, each milestone brings us one step closer to opening a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance the patient experience. We will open our doors to the first patients at the beginning of 2028.
