Carilion Clinic President and CEO Steve Arner took on Carilion's top leadership role after several decades of experience across our organization. His previous roles at Carilion include financial analyst,budget manager, Human Resources compensation and analytics director, hospital administrator at CRBH, senior vice president of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Services, and chief operations officer.

What to Know About Your July 31 Paycheck and Benefits Deductions

As a reminder, benefit premiums for 2026 are calculated to be deducted out of 24 pay periods, instead of 27.  

Benefit premiums come out of 2 paychecks per month. On the months there are 3 paychecks, like this month, benefit premiums are not deducted from the third check. 

Track Your Progress—Writing Goals Journey Launches in Workday

The Writing Goals Journey has launched in Workday, giving you a central place to document FY26 goals and track progress throughout the review period. 

FY26 goals should have been identified and recorded at the end of 2025. If you have not yet entered your goals in Workday, or if updates are needed, now is a good time to add what you have been working on and capture recent progress. This is also good practice for creating your FY 27 goals later this year.
