Nexus Update: We’re Extending Our Go-Live Date

Submitted by abshaver on

The Nexus project is a significant commitment to modernize the tools we use within Carilion for administrative and clinical functions. Our aim is a successful transition that limits any impact on our patients, staff and operations.

With this aim in mind, we have decided to extend the go-live date for both Workday and UKG.

We Have Updated Our Patient Consent Forms

Submitted by abshaver on

We have updated our General Consent to Treatment and Financial Agreement forms.

The General Consent to Treatment allows our team to provide care. The Financial Agreement allows us to bill the patient's insurance for treatment provided. Patients are asked to sign these forms one time a year in the ambulatory setting and with each inpatient encounter.

The English-language versions will go into effect on Monday, Dec. 2. The Spanish-language version will go into effect in the near future.

You Responded with Gratitude!

During this season of giving thanks, we recently asked you to share on Inside Carilion a person or team you are grateful for and why. You responded with resounding gratitude!

We compiled those comments and created a short video highlighting your gratitude. Check out both to see what your colleagues are saying about their Carilion family—and then head into the holiday season knowing you make a difference!
