Food Delivery Drop-Off Location

A convenient food delivery drop-off location is available for our CRMH and Crystal Spring Tower teams. If you order food or grocery delivery, you must have it dropped off or meet your delivery driver (e.g. Door Dash, Uber Eats, Dominos, etc.) in the Emergency Department garage (behind the Higher Grounds Coffee Shop).

Tis the season when school supplies are on display in nearly every store. This is a great time to pick up a few extras and bring them to Carilion Children's Tanglewood now through Thursday, July 31. 

Wali, our Saint Francis Facility Dog, would welcome any donated items listed below.  

We have updated our policy related to managing prior authorizations for elective surgical and diagnostic services. We want to make sure that clinicians and patients know when a procedure has not been authorized by the patient’s insurance provider and that there is a process in place to determine next steps.

Update Aug. 26: We’re preparing for CRMH renovations that will impact portions of the hospital lobby at various times. From now through Sept. 5, please follow the posted signs and any instructions from our Guest Services and Police/Security staff to help you navigate.

Epic is our electronic medical record (EMR) system, and it contains protected health information (PHI) for all of our patients. Please review the following common scenarios to refresh your understanding of what is—and isn’t—okay when it comes to accessing PHI.

What is PHI?

The Cardiovascular Institute is now open at CRMH, as the final phase of opening the Crystal Spring Tower. The tower will bring many of our Cardiovascular experts under one roof, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology to provide the best quality care for patients. It also fosters collaboration among increasingly specialized teams, building on research, clinical education and innovation that advances care for patients, now and into the future.

Joseph Moskal, MD, announced plans to end his surgical practice and step down as chair of the Department of Orthopaedics, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
