What is the Quarter Century Society? 

The Quarter Century Society (QCS) was formed in 1999 to recognize and honor employees who achieve 25 years or more of continuous service with Carilion. Members receive special recognition when they first achieve membership into the society and at a recognition event hosted once a year.

The flu shot is the best way to protect against the flu. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends annual flu vaccination for all healthcare personnel. This recommendation is based on evidence demonstrating the effectiveness of the vaccine in reducing flu-related illness and death among both healthcare workers and their patients, and the risk of healthcare-associated infections. It is recommended for all employees, physicians, licensed and non-licensed independent practitioners, students, volunteers and contract staff who work in every facility location.

The Virginia Division of Certificate of Public Need (VDCOPN) has approved our application for a new 50-bed inpatient medical rehabilitation hospital to be built in the City of Roanoke. We’re continuing to negotiate a partnership with Riverdale Southeast, LLC, to build the hospital in the Riverdale mixed-use development and lease it to Carilion.
