Update About Self-Scheduling in UKG Pro

Situation: If you use self-scheduling in UKG Pro and have a license or certification that expires during the schedule period, you may not be able to sign up for the full 6-week schedule.

Background: Schedules are currently open for employees to select shifts for the 6-week schedule that begins Sunday, Dec. 14 and ends Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.

If you are choosing shifts and have a required license (for example RN) or certification (such as Life Support) that is expiring during that schedule, you may not be able to sign up for all 6 weeks. For example, if your RQI class expires on Dec. 31, you can self-schedule until that date but not beyond.

Assessment/Response: HR has processed all AHA certification updates completed prior to Wednesday, Nov. 5. These updates will synchronize with UKG overnight and reflect accurate certification statuses by Thursday, Nov. 6.

• If you have been unable to self-schedule due to upcoming RQI expirations and have completed your RQI modules this quarter, you will be able to self-schedule for the Dec. 31 - Jan. 24 schedule period beginning Thursday, Nov. 6.
• Going forward, HR will conduct daily certification updates to ensure continuous scheduling access and prevent future interruptions.
• If you have not yet completed your certification renewal, you should do so as soon as possible to ensure continued self-scheduling access and up-to-date certification maintenance.
• In the meantime, leaders may override system notifications to support scheduling for these dates by entering the shift schedules for their employees. UKG notes employees unable to self-schedule will have an orange notification next to their name.
