CGCH Ripple Award Winner- Michele Harvey

The Patient Experience Team at CGCH selects one colleague each month that makes a significant impact to the Patient Experience that is provided at our facility.  For July, Michele Harvey, OTA was selected.  Michele went above and beyond to pick up a wheelchair from the medical supply store and bring it to the patient in the hospital.  This meant we could help the patient get comfortable with the actual wheelchair she would be using at home prior to discharge.  The patient's mind was put to ease, thanks to Michele's consideration and extra effort.

Kristin Johnson, Giles Medication Assistance Pharmacy Tech, does not give up in the face of adversity!  Knowing that patients in Giles County face significant barriers to affordable medications, transportation and low literacy, Kristin goes above and beyond to help our patients obtain medication assistance.  Recently she helped a diabetic patient who had given up on treatment because he could not afford his medications.  He had Medicare, but not Part D (medication coverage).  She identified resources to address short and long term solutions.  She was able to as

I'd like to give a shoutout to James Pratt(NA) 10-W!! He has gone above and beyond for our patients on 10-W tonight! He is a natural! He's kind and compassionate with each and every patient he encounters. We appreciate his communication with us here in the Virtual Care Unit!!

Co-workers are our families we get paid to tolerate! Megan Puffinburger is not only a delight to be around, but she is a force to watch and learn from while she performs outstanding patient care to everyone who comes for any type of MRI procedure. She knows her craft! Meg, it is so refreshing and inspiring to see the genuine compassionate care you bring to your patients, the humor and calm you bring to the stressed and fearful.

I am a POA working on 7s ICU and wanted to let everyone know that my Nurse Daniel Santos is a special nurse. He is wonderful with the patients and as a POA asking me if I needed anything which is very much needed at times.

Thank you Michael Madden from Environmental Services at CRMH for everything you do. He truly makes a huge difference to the Emergency department. Michael always goes above and beyond, and smiling while doing it. His willingness to help everyone and anyone is admirable.
