Courtney Cherry goes above and beyond in her role as a tech on R3. She consistently advocates for each patient, providing distinguished professional care, while also being personal and intentional with each patient. Courtney is beloved by all patients, especially on the adolescent unit. We are blessed with her empathetic impact, and I truly believe she is the perfect representation of compassionate care. Courtney is also excellent in high crisis situations, and is always willing to jump in and volunteer for every situation, regardless of the task.

Thank You

One of our nurses went out to get lunch on her break and her car broke down on her way back.  Kristie went out and picked her up and brought her back to work. Thanks Kristie for helping out your teammates with whatever they need!!

Code Urgent

Submitted by lrbarrett on

It's not just dedication, it's compassion and caring!  A quick response is what is needed during all urgent situations, including when a "code urgent" is called. It is nice to know that my co-worker (Kelly Robertson) here in Ortho Spine is one who always responds no matter where the call is initiated.

Thank you Kelly for being so compassionate and caring in all that you do!

Professional, Caring, and Patient Alex Lemus!

Today, Velocity Care Salem received a hand written, mailed letter from a patient that visited earlier in the month. The patient's letter stated (with all patient identifiers removed):

"My name is ___. I am writing to inform you of the care I received at your facility last week. The nurse, Alex had to spend a lot of time with me with completing "a procedure". Alex, the nurse, was professional, caring, and patient. He took the time to answer all my questions. This has been the best medical experience I have had in a long time. Sincerely, _____".
