I would like to salute my team for saving my life.

Wendy Manning is compassionate, kind, and caring which motivates patients so they can quickly recover from surgery.  She demonstrates the compassion of the entire Mobility Team which enhances the patient stay and ensures the quality of their health outcome.

I want to shout out Susan Looney of Parkview site location. Susan is the supervisor in our department, and she is a true inspiration through her role. Supervisors, not only help manage day to day responsibilities but they carry multiple roles at a time. Susan manages with compassion and care in all that she does and creates a work environment for us all mirroring that. Her sincerity in wanting the team to succeed and do well is reflected in her day-to-day interactions.

I want to take time to shout out Pamela Plaster of Parkview site location. Pamela is the team lead in our department, and she is a true inspiration through her leadership. Leadership is one of the most powerful impacts in making a difference. Pam continuously creates an environment through her leadership that is motivating, caring, kind, supportive, encouraging and uplifting. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be led by her and to be a part of a great organization such as Carilion.

I just wanted to say that all of our nurses here at FP Wytheville RH do an amazing job everyday.  They are always willing to help when one needs a hand. I appreciate them not only today but everyday.

Joann Callaway from CFMH guest services, helped out a patient last week. A patient from the ED had gotten turned around, she was in a hospital gown and confused. Joann was so polite and kind. Joann helped the patient get back to her room. Thank you Joann for being so wonderful and helping out!

I would like to give a BIG shout out to Nickie Ratcliffe, RN, BSN, she is the Office Manager here at FCM-Dublin, she started her in May/June 2022, she has been a God send to this office, she is an amazing Office Manager, but above all is an AMAZING person, she has done so much for our office in the short time that she has been here, she goes above and beyond to make sure our patients and our staff are taken care of, she gets out and works on the floor to help us nurses out, she helps out in our front office to make sure the ladies up there are taken care of.  She always comes in with a

The DAISY award recognitions honor the super-human and compassionate work that nurses perform for patients and families every day.  This story shows an amazing act of compassion and care for a family member taking care of not one but two very ill parents.

Bethany James CA displayed compassion by assisting the EVS staff in the ED tonight 5/2/2023 it really made them feel appreciated and encouraged. We really value when multiple departments can come together for the sake of the patients. Thank you so much!  

I work with a great team at CC Family Practice South Main Rocky Mount. Everyone here are great. On this particular day recently, we had a pt on our schedule with Dementia. Upon arrival to her apt with us, she was confused and refused to get out of the car to come in. The family called and let us know she was here but still in the car. The front staff informed the nurse Ikeshea Stockton that she was here but would not get out of the car to come in.
