One of Colonial Ave FP employees has lost a loved one in a tragic accident. A life gone to soon. Bill Crews who is suffering with his own illness asked his friend who is a musician to come and play at our staff meeting to cheer her up. That is compassion at its finest. What a good soul.

Hospice Bereavement Coordinator Receives Oakey's Hospice Caregiver of the Month Award

I wanted to give a quick shout out to Dr. Trevor Owen surgeon in orthopedics. Dr. Owen presents with excellent bed side manors. He is very thorough with his work. He always will take the extra time to chat with you if necessary. Dr. Owen is very busy and even in his busyness he demonstrates all five C's of Carilion. I have appreciated all his hard work and care to my needs. You are one of a kind Dr. Owen. Thank You for all you do. 

Above and Beyond Compassion!

Franklin Memorial Imaging Services Medical Office Assistant Candi Holland recently went above and beyond to help a patient who needed an MRI as soon as possible. Candi assisted the physician in scheduling a patient's MRI at Franklin. The patient would have waited longer to get the MRI completed where it had been originally scheduled, and Candi worked very hard to work the patient in to our schedule here at Franklin. Dr.

CFMH Staff Come to the Aid of a Patient Trying to Get Home!

Angie Shively, RT (R) (CT) of Imaging, and Carl Cline, RN, MSN, Senior Director of Nursing, were spotted while leaving to go home one day trying to help a gentleman in his van to go home. It appeared to be quite a difficult task but Angie was doing everything she could to make sure that he was helped into the van properly and safely. There were a couple of people with him who didn't seem to be able to offer much help. Then Carl came up, got into the van and helped her lift the patient in.
