On Monday night Trey Gaylor, a Radiation Therapist at the Cancer Center went above and beyond for a patient in distress. At the end of our shift, around 11pm, we discovered that one of our patients had a flat tire. They were planning on waiting over an hour for Triple A, then they were going to have over an hour drive home. Trey decided instead of making her wait, he would change her tire for her. She was so grateful.

On Friday October 11, 2019 Alexis ( Clinical Transport) was called to 10W to pick up a patient for discharge. Alexis was very sweet and caring and explain everything to our patient from the moment she came through the door. When we got downstairs our patient seen a lady with a get well balloon and immediately wanted one herself. And instantly Alexis went and got her a frog balloon. Our patient had the biggest smile on her face and you could tell that Alexis just made her day very happy. As soon as her family pulled up she was showing her balloon to everyone, and they was also thankful.

I would like to recognize Tracy Shumate for her commitment to good patient care. In our hydro treatment room today she was treating a wound patient and  all at once in a seizure for four minutes. She knew what to do to take care of this patient and did a caring excellent job. Thumbs up! I enjoy being your assistant today. Thank you, Janet Land

Even though I'm always proud of her, I want to give an extra proud shout out to Hayley Assenat, Clinical Associate on 7M PCU for creating and implementing the idea of a library for patients and families on her unit. Hayley reached out to her co-workers and her own family to donate books for the unit library. She has accumulated about 40 books so far. Patients and families can review the book summaries that Hayley developed and choose a book they are interested in.  Based on our Infection Control policy, the books cannot be returned, so the books are the patients/families to keep.

On Becky's day off, she heard that her laboring patient from the day before had to have a C-section. She went to visit the patient that had been placed in ICU and found out that the patient had not had any bonding time with her baby. As a result, Becky came into work and clocked in so she could take the baby to visit her parents. Becky demonstrates her love and compassion all the time for her patients, but this one was special. We appreciate her leadership in L&D as a CTL and the care she gives her patients each and every day.

Benny Casey showed true compassion and caring while in the break room. He was checking out in front of me and turned to see what I had and bought my lunch for me. It's the small things that still count and show true caring and compassion with our co-workers!

Regan is a RN Nurse on Med/Surg. Floor. she has went out of her way to help the CNA'S on the Floor. Regan has stepped  up her Game as a Nurse. She will help with Bath's, Taking the pt's to the Bathroom and Feeding the pt's if needed to be. We need more Nurse like her.She need's to know what a Great help she is around here.

Katie Tate is a true leader and looks toward the future not only for herself but all her employees. She goes above and beyond on a daily basis and helps her staff to do the same. 

Katie has worked extremely well with her staff and has had many step up into bigger roles so that they can benefit in the future. 

No choice is taken lightly with Katie; everything is considered for the benefit of staff, members, and the company. 

There is no better person you could find to have your back and help with any problem.
