Housekeeper goes above and beyond for Covid patients

Submitted by smrichards on

Jennifer Morales with housekeeping at CNRV has went above and beyond to provide comfort to our patients battling covid-19.

Jennifer has always been outstanding and talks with the patients, and offers to assist where she can. Jennifer is always smiling and ready to help.

Recently while cleaning the covid-19 positive rooms, Jennifer recognized that 2 of our elderly patients were having anxiety related to having to be isolated.

Jennifer didn't hesitate to ask for assistance in what could be done.

Above and Beyond

Lyzah Richards with resource pool was needed for a 1:1 sitter need on 7MPCU. Her gentle touch and caring attitude was above and beyond what could have been asked. She is an asset to our organization and it is honor to have worked with her. She shows an enthusiasm for her job and compassion for the patients. It is the small thing that someone does that makes the difference and last night we could not have done our jobs if it were not for Lyzah Richards.

Lori Tibbs, R.N. is well known for her commitment to the philosophy of Carilion by her award winning positive approach to patient care and genuine smile and words but now is working after hours at NRVMC screening patients for COVID and on departure, serving hot coffee for patients waiting for rides.  She approaches every patient with the commitment, care and compassion that is Carilion and now with the social compassion of coffee while waiting for their ride - sometime within minutes but often for some, in hours.  Thank you, Lori for your Cup of Compassion.
