I received the note (see picture) today. One our our community members missed an appointment for her mammogram and came in a day late. Rather than telling her that she would need to set up another appointment, our guest services and mammography staff collaborated with each other and the patient and "worked her in" for her mammogram, preventing her from having to make another trip to the hospital and showing her that at CFMH, we will come up with a solution on the spot!!

Dylan Woodruff is our perinatal clinical nurse educator. She has been an amazing and HUGE resource for our team. Dylan makes our simulations fun, and educational! She is always trying to come up with ways to help make things easy to understand, and to make sure we have resources available (the laminating QUEEN!). Thank you Dylan for all that you do! You make a huge difference.

Kudos to the PST & PeriOp teams!

Submitted by mbrunner on

Kudos to the PST & PeriOp teams! Your attention to detail in identifying the rework required for external medication reconciliation between the Pre-Surgical testing appointment and Day of Surgery admission led to a crucial investigation by the Clinical Informatics (CI) and TSG teams. Your collaboration helped uncover the root cause and drive a resolution that has eliminated duplicative documentation, improved workflow efficiency, and reduced confusion for staff.
