Zoey Albanese is always made sure the team is in compliance with making sure we do our safety's, take our much-needed lunch break, and battery changes. The patients just love her compassionate and caring personality. She always helps whenever asked with no hesitation. Always eager to learn new skills. I really enjoy working with her .

Cruising With Compassion

The Compassion Cart cruised through CGCH and CTCH on Thursday, after an especially challenging week due to hurricane Helene. Many of our friends, family, and coworkers in Southwest Virginia are still without electricity and water- but the resiliency and teamwork evident in these communities was heartwarming!

Staff were provided with a list of Well-being resources, including the Lend a Hand Employee Emergency Fund , EAP, and Chaplaincy Services.  The cart also contained inspirational cards, snacks, and even small "hugs."

Captain King went way above and beyond to ensure space was available and secure for one of our physicians who was returning from leave. He really embodies our mission and values and stepped in to fill a need that was most definitely not his job. He serves our patients and staff tirelessly. 

Would like to send out a big Thank you to Alyssa Barett. When Ms. Barett was filling my order for CRCH this past Monday, she went above and beyond her job requirements. Ms. Barett place all the small items in separate sealed bags and placed everything ever so neatly in the totes. The small act made my Monday go smoothly and saved me so much time. Thanks again for taking the extra effort Alyssa it was greatly appreciated.

CONGRATULATIONS to 6W on for being HAI free for 5 month!!! This is an amazing achievement and kudos to the team for making it happen. Keep up the great work!

Dr. Werner worked diligently over the weekend making numerous phone calls to get a patient admitted to hospice. After jumping through a multitude of hoops, she was able make it happen. It was a very busy weekend and there was no case management that day. We appreciate Dr. Werner's dedication to her patients and the hard work she puts in every day at CRBH! Thank you Dr. Werner!

My co-worker Lisa Booth was a wonderful hero sitting on the phone with a patient that needed directions to our facility during a hurricane. This patient needed to call our facility a few times and Lisa was very patient to make sure she makes it to our facility safe and sound.  Lisa deserves to be on the WOW Wall because of her communication and definitely her patience. Thank you Lisa for being amazing!!

During the patient follow-up calls there were two patients that recognized the 6 South OPS staff for outstanding care. The first patient stated, "From check-in to check-out I experienced the nicest friendliest people in the world!"  The second patient stated, "Everyone was fantastic, and she would give the staff an A++!"  The 6 South OPS staff is amazing and makes sure the patients and visitors have an exceptional experience with every visit.
