Team Player

ON 7/22/2026, WE WERE HAVING AN EXTREMELY BUSY TIME IN RESPIRATORY, THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOSPITAL. MULTIPLE TRIPS WITH VENTED PATIENTS, INTUBATIONS, RAPIDS AND CODES. THE CHRSYTAL SPRINGS TOWER WAS HECTIC. IN 9 CST ICU, WE HAD AN UNSTABLE VENTED POST CODE TRANSFERED TO US AND ANOTHER PATIENT WHO URGENTLY NEEDED TO GO TO THE CATH LAB; PLUS ANOTHER THAT WAS NEEDING TO BE INTUBATED, ALL AT THE SAME TIME. HELP WAS IN SHORT SUPPLY, BUT RT SHEYLA HERNANDEZ STEPPED UP TO COVER THE UNIT FOR THE INTUBATION WHILE WE WERE IN THE CATH LAB.

Please join me in celebrating an incredible milestone for 9MICU—2 years CAUTI and CLABSI free!!

9MICU Congratulations on an Outstanding Achievement!

This accomplishment is a true testament to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment this team demonstrates every day in providing safe, high-quality patient care. Achieving this in any unit is remarkable, but in a Trauma ICU, where patients require complex and intensive care, it is especially extraordinary.

Thank you!

I like to recognize Eikonja Johnson for being a great Team Player when it comes to getting patients checked in and preregistered. I do not always work in the same building with her but she is always there to help me with preregistration for the patients that forgot or didn't understand what they were being asked to do before their procedure.  With her always there no matter what we are able to work together to get the patient in and out faster to recover with less headache of the back end stuff. Thank You for All You Do!!

On Thursday, the Compliance and Privacy team had the pleasure of welcoming a very special guest to our staff meeting—Meadow!

No matter what role we serve in healthcare whether we're on the front lines or working behind the scenes it's always nice to be greeted by a friendly face that brings a smile to everyone's day. Meadow certainly did just that!
