A Shout-Out to the first and second shift Environmental Service Crew

Submitted by cgellis on

I personally want to thank the first and second shift members of the Environmental Services team here at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. They are in my mind some of the hardest working people here and not only do they do their jobs well, they also do it with a smile! Thank you for taking out our trash, cleaning the bathrooms, mopping, sweeping, buffing the floors and all the other things you do day in and day out. I take my hat off to you all!

Stephanie Booker RN, Cheyenne Marshall RN, Cyndi Randolph RN, and Roxanne Martin RN responded to a call from the EVS team regarding a co-worker that was experiencing a medical emergency.  They responded and stayed until EMS arrived to take over.  Their prompt response ensured a positive outcome for their co-worker!  Way to go ladies!  You are so appreciated!

Thank you to our Nursing Assistant Friends!

To all nursing assistants in our organization:

This week is Nursing Assistant week and I wanted to write something to show appreciation to each of you. I want you to know that your colleagues know how hard you work and how your dedication may sometimes go unnoticed. You spend many hours at the bedside of our patients doing things like painting their nails, combing or braiding their hair or just holding their hand. You are the unsung hero of patient care.

Night Shift TSG shout out!

Submitted by akabbott on

I have recently had to utilize TSG and their services frequently on the night shift and they are always quick to respond. They call the unit within 10 minutes of putting in a request into Edison to let me know they have received my request and gather any additional information. Once this is complete I always receive a follow up phone call from the responsible party to give me a time frame of when they will complete my ticket. This means a lot to me personally because I have always worked night shift and sometimes it can be quite challenging to "get things done".

Since Tammy has become the manager for PC Medicaid, numerous problem have been resolved that has been on going for "years" such as taxonomy issues (along with multiple other provider issues) and Magellan claim payments due to a provider enrollment issue. She is such an asset to our team and would like to say "WOW".
