Todd Carr, Neurodiagnostics Supervisor, saved the day by taking time from his family and vacation to find a missing piece of equipment at CRMH and drive it to Christiansburg to help a colleague get a system repaired on a weekend. Thanks Todd for all the extra things you do!!
Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital honored the Quarter Century Society by hosting a special luncheon. CTCH has thirteen employees with 25 years or more of service. We are proud of our Quarter Century Society and grateful for their outstanding commitment to our mission to improve the health of our community.

Shout out to Eddie Dorcus from Environmental Services. He keeps all of the parking garages clean from trash. I see him every morning out there and he is awesome. He has a very busy job and is keeping Carilion looking great!

Nancy started her career at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on July 1978 as a staff nurse in a Medical Surgical Unit. From 1982-1984 Nancy was a staff nurse on CCU and MSICU, providing patient care and family support to various critically ill coronary care and medical-surgical patients. Her next position was as a staff development instructor for adult ICUs and PCUs from 1984 through 1989.
We received a $50,000 grant from the Truist Foundation for our YES Program. This grant advances our shared goal of providing pathways to economic mobility and strengthening our region’s workforce. Thank you to our HR and Foundation teams for their hard work fostering this new partnership!
Here is the story from Sharon's co-workers regarding her GREAT CATCH. "Sharon Taylor deserves a ton of recognition and praise on a daily basis, but today she went above and beyond. We had trash and boxes stacked up for disposal. She took the time to check that all the boxes were empty before disposing of them and found medication we though had not been delivered...she saved us thousands of dollars in wasted medications today!" Thank you, Sharon for being so thorough and committed!
Roy always goes above and beyond. He goes out of his way to help everyone, and does so with a smile on his face! He never complains, and always works hard. He is truly a vital part of the hospital team, and I'm not sure what Carilion would do without him!
Our EVS team is committed daily and genuinely upholds all of Carilion's values. They always have kind smiles to match their upbeat, friendly attitudes.
