I would like to thank everyone for their help this morning (8-19-2023) when I was stuck on the elevator at CRehab. A special Thank You to Ricky Taylor for quickly getting the elevator open and Edwin Cintron for staying outside the elevator reassuring me that I was not alone and that I was going to be alright

Natures beauty at CFMH

Our Maintenance supervisor, Wayne Scott, takes a lot of pride in keeping our front flower beds in beautiful condition. Take a look at this picture and you will see an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly enjoying the fruits of Wayne's labor.

We have a beautiful campus at CFMH and we all take so much pride in our hospital.

EAP - helping keep health care workers sane(ish)

Submitted by pasmith1 on

I recently went through a serious tragedy in my personal life that was so devastating that it affected my ability to do my job. My co-workers cared enough to refer me to EAP where I met Chad Runyon. Chad's open, non-judgmental attitude and sympathetic demeanor were exactly what I needed to begin my road to healing. Mental health is an important aspect of overall health and contributes greatly to our ability to serve our patients better. EAP isn't only for work related incidents. It also provides an outlet and tools to help us deal with personal crises. We all need help sometimes.

SAVE THE DAY

Submitted by lrbooth on

Officer Miley saved the day. I was headed to class as he happened to pop around the corner just when I was trying to figure out how to get into my car after I locked my keys inside.  Well, after a look here and a look there........And a phone call to my husband. He was able to help me out and I got my keys out of the car. I was very happy that he stopped to help out. Right place at the right time. Thanks a million Officer Miley.

Well-being Team of Rockstars!!!

Submitted by wlray on

I cannot express enough gratitude for these well-being rockstars!!!

Aaron Washington and Kim Butterfield are a breath of fresh air. Both are fueled by helping others and doing all they can to ensure our employees get what they need to feel healthy, happy, well, and supported.

I don't have to wonder if they love what they do because it is evident through their actions. They regularly put their needs aside because part of their well-being is doing "good" work.

CVI Helps Kids Get Prepared for Back To School!

Submitted by skbeels on

CVI teams are so generous that over 1100 pounds of school supplies were donated to the Roanoke United Way to help with Back To School supply drives. The United Way staff were very appreciative on behalf of the many students and teachers these gifts stand to help. Back To School and Fill The Bus events support students across the Roanoke Valley and in surrounding communities.
