The CVI Leadership Team and the Grinch visit CVI Staff!
The Radfird University Men's Basketball Team visited the Pediatric unit at Carilion NRV Medical Center, sharing the stuffed animals collected at their recent Teddy Bear Toss with our unit. Thank you so much for this kind gift to our patients - these stuffed toys are used throughout the year to comfort our littlest patients.
JUST A SHOUT OUT TO MS, CINDY ON 8 WEST FOR THE WONDERFUL ,EXCELLENT CARE SHE GIVES ALL HER PATIENTS ON 8 WEST PCU
Thank you to the CNRV Infusion Center for showing compassion and teamwork by fitting a patient in for a very last minute appointment on a Friday afternoon.
Sabrina Earls went above and beyond. On her day off, she met a coworker and went to a sensitive appointment with her to provide support and let her know she didn't have to face the situation alone! Sabrina is a great leader and coworker. She is destined to do great things! Thank you for being a great definition of good people still exist!
After being sent back to Mount Crumpit by CPD, the Grinch's heart grew three sizes that day (no patient visit to CVI needed). Multiple Grinch sightings occurred shortly after, bringing not three-decker sauerkraut and toadstool sandwiches, but joy and laughter.
Brittany Moore, HAA at Carilion outpatient therapies CNRV set up a Hot chocolate bar with the help of some her teammates. This was enjoyed by all the staff in the outpatient department. A great stress reliefer during one of our busiest times of the year.
Thank you Brittany!!!!
Team members from Carilion Design & Construction, Safety & Emergency Management, Finance, and Infection Control decorated for the holidays on 11S Peds. Thank you for making kids' time in the hospital a little brighter by spreading holiday cheer!
I wanted to recognize Erika Hamilton for her impact she has made throughout Carilion. Erika is a true example of a Carilion worker showing all the C's, but I want to specifically call out her compassion and collaboration. Erika has come up with system solutions, employee and patient safety procedures to follow, and simple adjustments to herself to make herself better for her team. Working with Erika inside and out of work she truly tries to understand everyone and there thought processes and every aspect of every situation so she can provide the best solution to everything.
Labor and Delivery enjoyed a picture in front of the Christmas tree with our pet therapy dog, Marshall.
