Mary Fitzgerald, CRNA  was getting morning coffee when she was approached by a volunteer who was calling for assistance with a visitor who was unconscious in the 3rd floor women's restroom. Mary immediately assessed the situation, where she found a patient unresponsive and pulseless. After directing the volunteer to obtain an AED and call for help, she started CPR.  Mary performed chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth ventilation until help arrived.

Myrnouse Gabriel a Professor in the Master’s Occupational Therapy Graduate Program at Jefferson College received a phone call in the beginning of November regarding one of her students.  Ms. Gabriel was informed that one of her students was in the emergency room at the hospital.  The student was admitted into the hospital and required emergency surgery.  Ms. Gabriel immediately rushed to the hospital and stayed with the student for many hours until her parents arrived.  The student and parents were grateful for Ms.

Shout out to the outstanding staff of the child and adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit. You are succeeding in creating a peaceful and compassionate atmosphere for our children with severe behavior problems. Thanks for all of your efforts to come up with creative behavioral solutions for agitated and aggressive children and adolescents. Thanks for giving these children a chance to succeed without mechanical restraint or seclusion. You make this place a haven for the region's sickest children. It is a pleasure to work with you. My name is Sydney Brown. I recently had an accident and had to have emergency surgery on October 20, 2018. I just wanted to brag about how EVERYone in 4 South PACU was so nice and helpful. They made sure I was comfortable and well informed on what was going to happen before, during, and after my surgery. Allison Loy PA went to another floor to get milk for a patient. Also, she went to the coffee shop and purchased tea for a patient receiving a  bowel prep. She is always so helpful when needed to staff. She has the best and brightest smile for her patients.
