I just want to recognize Chelsie Foster in Radiology! I am so grateful for that entire team and their hard work and dedication to helping the SLP's everyday. Chelsie is particular has such an amazing heart, truly cares for her patients, and is a great communicator. Whenever I work with her I am grateful. Thank you for making my day at Carilion better!
Officer Eric Brown assisted during a difficult transport. He took the initiative to jump in and offer assistance, with a smile. Eric is always so pleasant and smiling whenever he is seen. He holds up the Carilion values and his positivity is always appreciated!
I really appreciate Ashleyrose Roberts RN and her efforts in the MRI department. She consistently shows knowledge and ability in the MRI department and even under complicated situations keeps a cool head and keeps her patients care as her primary focus. She has a great personality and attitude and is always a pleasure to work along side. If I was a patient here I would be grateful for a nurse as competent and caring as her. Thanks for your example!
Scott's help was invaluable today! After working hard on the Covid side, he was pulled to help with a decompensating patient needing ICU care. He did it with a smile!
Latasha was on top of her game, helping with a BIPAP and working hard to avoid intubation.

A great BIG THANK YOU to Occupational Therapist Todd King and his patients for making this scarecrow for our department! The town of Rocky Mount has a contest each year where local businesses place scarecrows around the town during the month of October for others to enjoy. Our theme this year was all about health as we were also celebrating Physical Therapy month! "Helga" the scarecrow is holding a pair of dumbells and sporting her active workout gear. If you are in Rocky Mount you have probably seen many of the scarecrows on the lampposts through the town.
Thank you Daphne for a terrific orientation to home health. Because of you I could hit the ground running and feel more competent!
I wanted to thank Heidi Johnston with CCPT for going above and beyond to help out with transporting a patient to a different SNF per a family request. She was a dedicated problem solver and came up with a quick solution to remedy a complicated situation. The patient and her family were grateful for the CCPT services and speedy response! The CAPS department would like to give a huge 'shout out' to the team at Neurology-Riverside 3 for placing SafeWatch reports regarding potentially unsafe, defective devices. Thanks to the reporter leaving her name the process worked perfectly! The SafeWatch team was able to obtain the devices, then file a report with MedSun. MedSun reports notify the manufacturer of the device to conduct an investigation on their products for quality assurance. Great Catch, to the Neurology team at Riverside 3 for speaking up for patient and staff safety! Keep up the great work!
