Kianna Hayes Goes Above and Beyond

Submitted by tkclugston on

Kianna Hayes was cleaning rooms on 10MPCU today. We had to do a quick switch of rooms so a patient could have the proper equipment after the patient was already headed to our unit. She jumped in with a "can-do" attitude and cheerfully cleaned a room so we could put a new admission in the appropriate room! Kianna embodies the Carilion Value of Collaboration.

Two people returned to report that they had made changes in their lifestyle after having their blood pressure checked at a previous event. Our participation in these Safety Fairs is beneficial for helping improve the health of our community!

Great Teaching Moment!

Submitted by bkjusto on

As a nurse new to the ICU at CRBH, I want to thank Timothy Foringer, RT for taking the time to give me an in-depth explanation and demonstration of Bipap. There are a lot of new protocols, medications, and equipment to master in the ICU and I so appreciate Tim's dedication to having a great working relationship with the nursing staff and helping to educate staff when possible. Thanks Tim!
