Congratulations to the Emergency Department for not only winning the first team imPACT award but for also inspiring the development of the team award. The ED was nominated for demonstrating exceptional care and rapid treatment for a patient with a ruptured AAA. This care team showed fantastic communication and flawless movement and utilization of different hospital departments.

Peds and PICU teams held a celebration to note a significant milestone. In November, the staff of Peds celebrated 2 years with no Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections, or CAUTI and PICU celebrated 4 years without a CAUTI. CAUTIs can lead to extended hospital stays, increased healthcare costs, and patient morbidity and mortality. Congratulations to everyone on Peds and PICU for their part in this notable accomplishment.

October went by so fast I think I missed it. Well I did at work anyway. I was out from Surgery and then my Mother passed away unexpectedly. While out though, This team pivoted and balanced out the work load between themselves. I would just like to thank them all for covering so graciously while I was out. Please when you see the weekday echo staff they have been really working extra hard in the past few weeks. I couldn't ask for a better set of coworkers.
