Shout out to a great person and friend, Jamie Wray! She is a CMA for Peds Endo at Tanglewood Children's. Thank you for all you and thank you for becoming a really good friend and my walking buddy. Thank you for helping me figure out how to celebrate Carilion Proud week during my 3 day work week, LOL. I can't wear green because of my uniform; I missed out on jersey day because my uniform is by work attire, but we did figure it out and we got it done. Between Super Hero day to Wear Green Day, we celebrated a day early. I did however get to wear my silly socks for the day as well.

CNRV PCU night shift crew had a challenging weekend but the worked together as a team which made the experience manageable. 

Volunteer Services' Annual Plant Sales were a true success thanks to the incredible support from across our Carilion community!

These funds (totaling over $3,200!) directly support Volunteer Services programs that care for our patients and their families, including the Hotel Assistance Program and Clothes Closet. 

What an incredible week celebrating nursing! A big WOW to everyone for outstanding collaboration and meaningful unit rounding that made this celebration so special!

Your support truly made a difference!

It was a pleasure to celebrate all of nurses this week with the carnival of fun! I loved the participation in Spirit Week. 

A patient or community member’s first contact may very well be the person they speak with over the telephone. That first impression matters - there isn’t a second chance for a first impression! I’m thrilled to be part of a group that is more than willing to go above and beyond for the Community and Carilion employees – Community Lines at Carilion’s Call Center. 

On May 7, the Carilion Clinic Cancer Care team participated in the Carilion Taubman Cancer Center Safety Fair.  The team members provided cancer screening information and offered blood pressure checks to attendees.  Participation in this event helped strengthen collaboration with the construction workers who are building the new home of the cancer center while also supporting the health and wellness of the community.  

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank our Human Resources and Technology Services Group teams for the care, collaboration, and dedication they bring to supporting new hires during System Orientation.

On April 29th, 4th Floor Operating Room Services (ORS) proudly celebrated our International Employees with a special recognition luncheon and what a wonderful celebration it was! We had an incredible turnout of delicious dishes from around the world, lots of laughter, and a true sense of togetherness.

Initiated and coordinated by Becky Ratcliffe, the CNRV Care Management Team wore blue to support the Child Abuse Awareness initiative.
