Great Catch - Violet Pollock - CFMH Pharmacy

Submitted by kbrobertson on

Violet was nominated for a great catch for her excellent observation and attention to detail. She quickly identified that a patient’s TPN arrived without the appropriate tubing—an issue that could have caused a significant delay in care. Thanks to her prompt communication and advocacy, what could have been a lengthy disruption was reduced to just one hour.

Thank you, Violet, for your vigilance, teamwork, and dedication to ensuring timely, safe patient care. Your actions made a real difference!

I would like to recognize 3 staff members. Who on their day off, selflessly came into to assist with 3 emergent surgical cases. Mark Davis, Heather Malone and Whitney Ashley. They assisted the on-call staff with their dedication to providing the best possible care.

PICU and ED work together to make sure a child can go home before Christmas

Submitted by mlpage on

With help from the ED staff Jaclyn Pividal and Alison Martin we were able to get a much-needed sedation completed in the PICU so that treatment could start in time for the child to hopefully be able to go home before Christmas. If it wasn't for this teamwork, the patient would have to spend Christmas in the hospital. Aimee Wooldridge, PICU charge nurse helped to coordinate this along with a very busy assignment herself. Thank you to both teams for your collaboration and commitment to provide excellent pediatric care to our patients.

Kudos for Giles Med/Surg Rockstar Clinical Staff

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and commendation to the Giles Med/Surg Nursing Staff for their exceptional partnership during last week’s Unified Communication Upgrade and Integration.

The implementation of new technology can often be a disruptive process, yet the Giles team handled the transition with remarkable professionalism. They were incredibly patient throughout the testing phases and maintained a positive, "can-do" attitude that was instrumental to our success.
