CFMH recycles 74 pounds of aluminum tabs for Ronald McDonald House!

Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital collected, boxed, and delivered 74 pounds of aluminum can tabs to the Ronald McDonald House of SW Virginia for recycling! The Ronald McDonald House tab top collection and recycling program allows a small contribution to make a big difference in the lives of children and their families during a hard time. They recycle aluminum can tabs and use the funds received from recycling to run the daily operations of the house. 

CRMH ED Team utilizing Community insight with CST Expansion

CRMH Emergency Services leadership is using community insight into our CST expansion. The input will be used for wayfinding and navigation as we plan on how our prospective patients will navigate this new space. Members from our CRMH ED Patient Family Advisory Council were able to tour the new space and provide insight from a patient perspective.

CFMH Preparathon/Safety Soiree

As part of our Safety Culture at CFMH, our staff, led by Betty Underwood, (Safety/Emergency Management), conducted a Preparathon, safety soiree. There were pumpkin carving competitions, a Haunted Safety Trail, Infection Prevention had a "Caught Red Handed" display, there was a booth covering over the counter medication safety, Forensics provided information about Public Health Awareness, Fire Safety demonstrations were offered as well as PASS training, Med Sled training. You name it, it was there.
