Family and Community Medicine had the honor of celebrating the 50th work anniversary for our longest serving team member, Margaret Fitzwater.  Margaret worked with Dr. Michael Jeremiah (Chair of FCM, recently retired) and Dr. Mark Greenawald (interim Chair of FCM) when they first joined Carilion! Margaret shared some wonderful stories of how things have changed over the years.  We are grateful to have someone as dedicated as Margaret on our team serving the Shawsville community.

A Helping Hand at CRBH

Submitted by snclemmer on

A huge "Thank You" to Leonard Stewart, Emergency Management/Safety Consultant at CRBH for helping to assist patients and guests from the parking lot to the main entrance of the hospital this morning (Monday). Because of work being done on the lot, a section of patient/guests parking was closed, causing them to have to park farther away.  Leonard rounded on a golf cart and transported patients and guests to and from their vehicles.

We appreciate his help to ensure a pleasant visit to our facility.
