We here in Carilion Clinics Nuclear Cardiology Procedures Department have been dealing with a MUSE upgrade today, that was more stressful than anticipated.  Having talked with 5 different people in TSG within just a few hours, I received a call from Ginger, and instantly things began to turn around.  Ginger was very professional, yet personable and helped resolve our upgrade issues.  She is beyond awesome at her job, and a pleasure to speak with.

Helen Burton in CGCH Environmental Services has a special place in the hearts of her co-workers. She is always the first one to volunteer to come in on her days off when we are short staffed, she always takes pride in her work and she is just a joy to be around. She also goes above and beyond for our patients. One day she was cleaning the room of a patient who had just been discharged and noticed that the patient had left some personal belongings behind.

I just would like to give a quick shout-out and thank you this morning to Jason Knick and his entire Maintenance Department here at CSJH for doing a great job of working throughout the night to clean the roads, parking lots, and sidewalks here onsite to ensure safety for our patients and for our employees.  Your continual hard work is not only noticed but it is also very much appreciated.  Thank you.

A big Thank You to Melissa Cash in sharing her EPIC Expertise to assist in answering my questions about comparing a PowerBI Dashboard data to the EPIC Nursing Dashboard data.

Melissa assisted me by showing me the report parameters in EPIC Nursing Dashboard and that the data populates directly from the import.

Last week we were super busy on the Surgical Care Unit.  Lisa Gunter RN, Case Manager came to the desk and said "what can I do to help?".  She went on to complete several nursing assessments for an RN and then assisted the CNA with 11 am vital signs and accuchecks!.  Lisa was such a pleasure to work with and was a true blessing to us!  Thank you Lisa Gunter, RN for your commitment to patient care.

Laura Rivero, RN at Inpatient Rehabilitation (CRCH) recently reported a Great Catch in SafeWatch!  Laura recognized an unsafe medication condition that could have potentially lead to a patient event.  Thank you Laura for being committed to our patients and their safety!!
