I can’t think of a better example of commitment than an employee whose floorboard catches on fire due to her muffler blowing up, but since she was on call for the OR and was on her way to the hospital to help with a surgery she poured water on it and kept on going. The CAPS Team is excited to announce that the staff from CARES (presurgical testing) submitted the most non-anonymous Near Misses/Unsafe Conditions (Great Catch!) through SafeWatch for the month of June! CSJH EVS Supervisor Connie Beverly would like to recognize two of her EVS Technicians (Wanda Schulke and Donna Byers) for finding and returning a patient's diamond rings that were left in a room. Both were cleaning a room after discharge, found the rings and immediately gave them to a nurse for prompt return to the patient. The family is immensely thankful. Thank you to both Donna and Wanda for not only your outstanding work but also for your dedication to patient care. Great job!

I wanted to take a minute to recognize and thank Christine Clifford RN preceptor in the 6MICU. Not only is she shaping new graduates and new nurses to the unit, she consistently is responsive to the needs and questions of her peers. In fact, I have never heard her say "no". She is energetic, positive, knowledgeable, and resourceful with an always CAN DO attitude. Ideally this is describing every preceptor within this hospital, but Christine brings a new level of energy every day. She is consistent and shows passion for teaching and helping others.

I can't thank Gilbert Davis, CNRV Maintenance and Cody Hodges, TSC for coming to my rescue today. I had placed several tickets with TSC last week because my mouse kept freezing up and TSC fixed it both times remotely. Well this past Monday, 6/22 right in the middle of working on payroll my PC just froze up and wouldn't do anything. I placed another ticket with TSC and was told that field services would be coming my way. Field Services came and looked at my PC and said that it would be about Wednesday before it would be repaired because mine had crashed and that it wo
Brandy Eggleston is one A-mazing co-worker. The link that really holds the bond together between 3rd shift and 1st shift during times of chaos and sometimes overwhelming amount of work added late in the morning by both outgoing and incoming providers. She is someone that can be counted on day in and day out to get the job done and to go above and beyond for her coworkers and teammates. She comes in ready to work no matter what is going on and continues to help in any situation and any department in x-ray that she is needed in.
8MPCU has become an overwhelming floor at times. With that the staff on the floor has rallied together and have helped each other above and beyond the norm.
