Trauma Registrars are vital to providing care as key members of our Trauma Team. Trauma Registrars are responsible for medical record analysis, data abstraction, performance improvement initiatives, and overall data management specific to the trauma patient population. In addition to their skills with data analytics, these individuals must have a strong command of medical terminology and human anatomy and physiology in assuring accuracy and consistency of data.

Carilion embraces diversity at Roanoke's 30th annual PRIDE Festival this weekend

A team of eight Carilion staff members volunteered their Sunday to share Carilion's support of the LGBTQ+ community at Roanoke's 30th annual PRIDE Festival yesterday.  The volunteers are members of Carilion's LGBTQ+ ERG, and are passionate about providing a voice for the LGBTQ+ community.

Great Catch by CRBH Pharmacy Technician - Tonya Beverley

Shout-out to CRBH Pharmacy Technician Tonya Beverley for another Great Catch!  While reconciling the medication sheets during the evening, Tonya discovered a medication discrepancy in the pyxis which helped ensure that a patient was given the correct dose of a medication.  CRBH Pharmacy Director Jessica Saville would like to recognize Tonya and thank her for her continued due diligence and exceptional work.  Great Catch Tonya, and thank you for all that you do for our patients at CRBH!

Many thanks to CRC who has never failed to answer a question or go the extra mile to help a patient whether it is a prior auth, tier reduction, or just general questions.

Strong Work to keep Nuclear Medicine spic and span at CRBH ( Rockbridge).

Recently the floors in our Nuclear Medicine Department needed some extra attention.  Jay Emore and Gay Ramsey went the extra mile to make sure the floors in Nuclear Medicine recevied the attention they needed.  We appreciate them and their hard work to keep our hospital looking it's best.  Thank you Jay and Gay for your attention to detail. It doesn't go unnoticed.

At Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, we had a patient that has visited several times recently state that, “Diane Eames (Guest Services Representative) is such a wonderful person and has helped me in every way possible. “ Diane demonstrated both compassion and commitment in her interaction and it made a difference in this patient's day. This is only one of many positive comments we receive about the outstanding service our patients receive from every department here at CFMH. We are proud of our amazing and caring team.
